This sculpture marks the beginning of my journey as a metal artist. I call it Klondike — not only because the Klondike left deep marks in the Canadian psyche, but because the raven’s voice carries that memory forward. I use reclaimed metal parts to remind us that, like the raven, the wilderness of the Yukon is unique and worth preserving in itself.
